Consistent retail scenting starts with an approved fragrance and a repeatable local setup. The same machine setting will not necessarily create the same experience in stores with different ceiling heights, entrances and ventilation. Build a pilot specification that staff can reproduce, then adapt it to each location.
Define what the retail project needs to achieve
A boutique, a department-store counter and a shopping centre have different boundaries. Mark the area you control, adjacent tenants, open entrances and spaces that should not receive fragrance. For a chain, separate the shared purchasing specification from the conditions at each store.
When discussing scent marketing for retail stores, define a practical acceptance check: the intended fragrance character, where it should be noticeable and when it should run. Avoid treating a stronger scent as evidence of a better outcome. Fragrance equipment does not establish a sales uplift or remove the need to address cleaning and ventilation issues.
Compare machines by zone volume
Use the following ranges to make a shortlist, not a floor-area guarantee. The coverage values are in cubic metres. The retail-store selection guide provides the detailed planning checklist; this page connects those requirements to the current models and a quotation.
| Model | Published volume | Oil capacity | Noise | Control |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TW-CP01 | 10–50m³ | 10mL | Test data to confirm | Buttons |
| TW-HP01 | Up to 100m³ | 150mL | Test data to confirm | Buttons / Bluetooth |
| TW-RA01 | Up to 200m³ | 120mL | Test data to confirm | Confirm by version |
| TW-SI02 | 300–500m³ | 200mL | Test data to confirm | Touch buttons / Bluetooth |
| TW-MI01 | 2000–3000m³ | 500mL | Test data to confirm | Buttons / Bluetooth |
| TW-LI01 | 5000–8000m³ | 1000mL | Test data to confirm | Buttons / Bluetooth |
TW-MI01 and TW-LI01 are the larger-volume candidates in this range, while TW-SI02 can be reviewed for a medium store zone. None of these ranges confirms how many machines a whole shopping centre needs. Send the tenant layout and air-system information for an HVAC scenting review. Hotel retail areas can also use the zoning approach on our hotel scent-machine page.
Keep a chain's fragrance specification consistent
Record the approved fragrance reference, compatible oil, machine version, installation position and local program. Keep a sample or agreed reference for reorders. One fragrance name without its reference and product specification is not enough for another buyer or store manager to repeat the order.
Standard oils and refills can be quoted with the machine requirement. For custom fragrance development, use the LUMEN NARRATE home-fragrance product line. That development is separate from a standard machine-and-refill purchase.
Choose who can change local settings and how those changes are recorded. The current button and Bluetooth descriptions do not confirm a cloud platform for multi-store management. If central control is essential, put it in the specification for technical review before approving the machine.
Measure oil use before planning recurring orders
High foot traffic often comes with open doors and changing airflow, but visitor count alone cannot determine oil consumption. Fragrance, output program, operating hours and the actual location all matter. Start with a pilot under the proposed daily schedule and record the quantity used over a defined period.
Observed daily use = oil volume used during the trial ÷ operating days in the trial
Use compatible units when calculating. Estimate an order's oil requirement from observed daily use, the intended operating days and the number of comparable zones; keep a separate allowance for commissioning and replenishment planning. Repeat the trial when a major setting or formulation changes. No measured consumption rate is published for the six models in the current quotation.
Review mounting, access and store opening routines
TW-SI02, TW-MI01 and TW-LI01 list wall-mounted, flat-placement and external-connection options. Confirm the mounting hardware and actual wall surface, then leave room for bottle access and cleaning. A wall-mounted configuration is not by itself a verified anti-theft feature; ask about the selected version's lock, access and fixing details if public access is a concern.
Keep the unit away from product handling and positions where output reaches a customer at close range. Check the entrance, checkout, fitting rooms and far side of the sales floor during normal trading. The placement guide helps prepare the location brief.
Have staff check oil level, inspect the installation and record changes as part of a defined routine. Confirm cleaning and spare-part instructions for the actual model. For the full supply discussion, return to the commercial diffuser category page.
Frequently asked questions
Which scent diffuser suits a retail store?
Measure the store zone and review open doors, ceiling height, airflow and service access. TW-SI02 is listed for 300–500m³, TW-MI01 for 2000–3000m³ and TW-LI01 for 5000–8000m³. Smaller zones require their own model selection.
Can several stores use the same fragrance?
Yes, a shared fragrance reference can be specified for the program. Confirm compatibility and keep the approved reference for reorders. Placement and output still need local review because the stores may have different layouts and ventilation.
How much oil will a store use?
The current quotation does not provide a verified consumption rate. Measure oil use over operating days in a pilot location with the agreed fragrance and program, then use that result to plan replenishment for comparable zones.
Are wall-mounted models theft-proof?
Wall mounting does not establish an anti-theft claim. Confirm brackets, fixing details, bottle access and any lock on the selected version before purchasing for a publicly accessible position.
Plan a store pilot before a chain rollout
